Of Birds, Squirrels, and Lighthouses….

I’m posting these pictures at the risk of giving the impression that all we do is have a good time and travel, but along with the really important things that we are privileged to do, we also do have some diversions from time to time. For example, our own little personal ZOO! Yes, with a small investment in bird and squirrel feeders and food, we have been able to bribe some of our little furry and feathered friends to keep us company right outside our windows. We have some of the biggest, fattest squirrels I have ever seen! We’re really anxious for the cardinals to show up to join the finches. Here’s a few pictures….


On our preparation day this week (Saturday) we were able take a drive west to Lake Michigan and add a couple lighthouses to our collection. Pictures are of the St. Joseph North Pierhead Light and the South Haven Pier Light. Had we been there a couple weeks earlier would have been able to capture them covered in ice!
